About the Committee

The Historical Security Council (HSC) is a specialized committee in Model United Nations (MUN) that simulates past international crises and conflicts. In this committee, delegates role-play the positions of historical actors, such as leaders of nations or international organizations, to address challenges faced in a specific time period. The goal is to create solutions based on the context of the era, using historical decision-making processes. The HSC provides a unique learning experience, offering participants a deep dive into history while enhancing their negotiation, diplomacy, and research skills.
